OUR TRANSITION MINISTER AND MINISTRY AREA LEAD
Fr Hywel is originally from Cwmdare. After university in Birmingham he worked in a genetics laboratory in Cambridge studying diabetes. He studied for the priesthood at Mirfield in Yorkshire and was ordained in 2005 and then worked as a curate in Blackpool and Chorley before serving in Market Drayton as Vicar. After 8 years he moved to Yate, near Bristol working as a mission priest on a large multi cultural estate. He is looking forward to what the future brings now that he has come back to the place he has always called home.
