Our Uniform Exchange encourages people in the Cynon Valley to recycle and donate old school uniform rather than putting it in the bin, so that other families living locally can use it.
In partnership with Citizens Advice Rhondda Cynon Taff, we run collection points for unwanted uniforms over the summer holidays, and will get them to the children who want them the most, free of charge.
You can collect uniform from:
St Fagans Community Hall, Windsor St, Trecynon, Aberdare, CF44 8LL
We are open until the end of the school holidays:
Wednesdays 2.00 - 4.00pm
Thursdays 2.00 - 4.00pm
Saturdays 10.00am - 12.00pm
There is no qualification process when requesting school uniform, it’s on a first come first served basis.
All the items we receive will go through a checking process before being given back out. We aim to send out a school uniform that’s in very good condition for a child to wear. We do recommend that people receiving items wash them again, as some things don’t get a chance to be washed before they are needed.
We cannot guarantee having everything you need, and some items, especially ones with specific school logos, will be limited in stock. However, we will do our best to source everything required.
HOW DO I GET FREE UNIFORM?
HOW DO I DONATE?
We have now had so many generous donations that we are unable to accept any more uniform for 2021, other than items which are specifically requested by people (which we will post on Facebook).
If you have unwanted uniform, we recommend taking it to a local charity shop who will save it from going to landfill.
